| 6:30pm | Feeding the Homeless 6:30pm: we will make sandwiches and assemble lunches at 6:30pm. It takes about 20 minutes and the lunches will be handed out the next day in Civic Center Park. It is too easy of a statement to say we are feeding the homeless. We are serving lunch to 50 people who are all someone’s brother, someone’s mother, someone’s daughter. We are showing love to someone who does not experience much love. |

Speaker: Rev. Jessie Nelson Lent is the Christian season that prepares us for the death and resurrection of Jesus, but the 40 days can be used for many types of spiritual growth and exploration. What commitments can we make to ourselves for these 40 days that will make Lent an interspiritual time of enlightenment? |

THE SUNDAY MEAL PROGRAM
The Sunday Meal Program at
St. Paul Church is now in its 23rd year of providing a free, hot
meal every Sunday morning to the homeless and others who are
hungry! In the last two years, we have seen a steady increase of meal guests.
In 2009, we served over 8,000 meals. But financial support is decreasing
even as demand is increasing. Your support is needed to continue the program.
Please contribute to the Sunday Meal Program. You can place your donation
in an offering plate or mail it to St. Paul Church, 1615 Ogden, Denver,
CO 80218 (mark in the memo: SMP). We can do this together! Thank-You!

STAINED GLASS RESTORATION
Please click
here to view the flyer or pick a flyer up at the church – about our beautiful stained
glass at St. Paul and our efforts to make the needed restorations.
Everyone’s support is needed for this important effort to honor
the sacred spouse that houses the spiritual services and outreach
to the community at St. Paul. So please donate to the restoration
project. And don’t forget to donate to the BCIC at St. Paul.
Thanks!

GUARDIAN ANGELS OUTREACH TO THE HOMELESS
The Guardian Angels are conducting a clothing and sleeping gear drive for women and men who are homeless in Denver. They are requesting hats, coats, gloves, warm shirts and pants, and blankets and sleeping bags. These items can placed in the Twyman Room at St. Paul Church. Winter is coming.
SPIRIT
Given many of us have good intentions but hectic schedules
and bad habits, spiritual practices (whatever they might be)
are often a challenge to do. What about doing some of our practices
together We can look at everything from emailing or calling
to share our practice "virtually," to
meeting for meditation - perhaps in various "sanctuaries" around town - to walks or Tai Chi in the Botanic Gardens. We might even look
at a movement called "non-cloistered monasticism" for those of us ready to take a more committed plunge (traditional religious
beliefs NOT a requirement!). Given our creativity, we'll surely
come up with some wonderful ideas! Please email Lisa at lisanzac7@msn.com if you have any suggestions and/or you're interested in doing
this.
